Burn is the creation of Amanda Pargh and Chase Atkins. The couple moved to the Santa Cruz area from Sonoma in 2014 when Amanda was offered a job in the kitchen at Manresa, a highly esteemed restaurant in Los Gatos. On the heels of their arrival the restaurant caught fire and was shut down for months. While awaiting the reconstruction Amanda and Chase picked up work farming and teaching at Love Apple Farms. Spending her days surrounded by fruit and veggies, Amanda started fermenting anything she could get her hands on. When an abundance of hot peppers fell into her lap she made a hot sauce and gave it to friends. Well received, Burn fermented hot sauce was born.
Amanda and Chase live in Felton and ferment and package their sauce at the El Pajaro Commercial Kitchen Incubator in Watsonville. You can find their four single origin, organic, fermented sauces at the Downtown SC Farmers' Market.
Burn hot sauce is made with 100% organic chilies grown in California.
